Oh My!

I was feeding Raegan and heard this huge bang! I waited to hear a cry or MOM!!! but nothing so I new no one was hurt. I finished with Raegan and then went to investigate. This is what I found. He said he was trying to slide down the top of his car that is parked by the dresser. I cant figure out how that made the dresser fall but whatever. The piggy bank was on top of the dresser I found it under the dresser when I picked it up. I am glade it wasn't Tucker I found.

Christmas 2012!

Tucker, Randan, and I made cookies to give to Santa on Christmas Eve. He wanted to put carrots also so the Reindeer had something to eat.

Yes Santa came!

She is tired and hungry! Wish I could have got one with out her crying. Steel very cut.

First day home!

We came home from the hospital on the 21st of Dec. Randan dropped me off at the house, so I could feed Raegan, and change her dipper. So that when Tucker got there he wouldn't have to wait to hold her. He was so excited to do so. When he walked in the door the first thing he said was "Where is my baby sister? "

And then there were Four!

Tyring to keep occupied by playing solitaire.

One happy daddy.

One even happier mother.

Big brother's getting to see her for the first time. We have really bad Flu and RSV going around so they wont let any kids under the age of 14 back in labor and delivery. They would let him look through the window.

I held her while he got his first look.

Me missing my son.

Well there you have it Dec. the 20th 2012 we received a beautiful baby girl to add to our family. She was 7lbs. 3.4oz. She was 19 1/2 inch. long and born @ 3:07 pm. Her name is Raegan Carol Vincent. We absolutely ardor her.

First Snowman!

This is sad to admit but, this is tuckers first  snowman. He is three and, this is his first. Last year we didn't get any snow to make a skiff let alone a snowman. So when it started snowing the other day he was so excited he wanted to make a snowman. I thought Randan might want to be apart of his first, so I told Tuck we would do it the next day, so his dad could help him. (Randan wouldn't have been home until after dark the day it started to snow) Being nine months pregnant help me make that decision. I must admit. He was so excited Randan helped him by starting the bottom. Randan started from the back yard that is why there is a little dirt mixed in. I have to giggle at the waist, and head I think they were getting tired. After the snowman Randan cut me some starter wood. As you can see in the picture. While he was doing that Tucker wanted to start a snow ball fight. You can't see it very well, but Tucker is laughing with a laugh I don't hear very often but when I do I just start laughing myself. You can tell it is coming from the heart. Deep down inside. I think he thought he had Randan right where he wanted him.

Snow man!

I got the pictures out of order. It is suppose to be a before and after. I always like to have some kind of  wreath or door hanging on my door during the holidays. I was on pinterest and found this darling snow man someone had made and I wanted to replicate it. I didn't have all the supplies they did so I came up with my own version. I think it turned out OK the pinterest one is better. I used as yo can see three different wreath bases so I could get the three different sizes, coffee filters, pipe cleaner, half of a old sorbet container, and felt.

2012 Christmas Tree!

Tucker and Randan testing the lights before they go on the tree.

Randan and Tucker decorating the tree while I get the ornaments out for them to hang, and take pictures.

Me protesting any pictures of me. I hadn't done my hair makeup or dressed up to go get a tree. I mean who would? I guess me if I knew the camera was going to be turned. I have never liked my picture taken let alone 9 months prego, and grungy.

The final product. Tucker woke up this morning and said: "I like are tree mom." I was glade to hear that because he through a total fit at the tree lot wanting a flocked tree. I didn't even know he knew there was suck a thing, but on the way up to get the tree he keep saying I want a white one. the only thing I could come up with was flocked and lone behold that is exactly what he was talking about.  All the descent flocked trees were already spoken for, so no go this year. Hence the fit.

Tucker's Blazer!

Randan has been wanting to know what I want for Christmas, and keep asking. I keep telling him "I don't know", " I don't need anything." He finally told be to have a list ready, and gave me a deadline. I miss both deadlines ( he gave me two, because I missed the first ). He told me "OK I want it text to me by noon the next day." I steel failed to get the list to him.  I received a "?" text around 1:00 that day, so I finally text him  saying: I want my shelves up in our laundry room,  I want bookshelves and shelving so I can build my office how I want it. I want a chop saw, and I wouldn't mind some $ to got shopping in Provo this spring. All of which I thought were wonderful ideas.  He didn't agree. He said they weren't valid.  When Tucker and I were in town a few days latter  I came up with the idea to take our camera with us so I could do some window shopping and take pictures so Randan would know what I was talking about.  Great Idea! I am sure you are all wondering what this  has to do with the picture and title of this entry. Not much I go in to tangents some times just to get a simple point out.  Which I am now going to FINALLY get to. When I was little I remember getting a Christmas and Easter dress if not every year most every year, so when I had Tucker I wanted to get him some kind of outfit for Christmas and Easter. I will admit I have not always been very good. This year I wanted to get a vest, matching tie and a new white shirt. Yo need to know that is not always the easies thing to do in Vernal UT. I know we have the wonderful Webb to shop on, but for some reason I don't do much shopping on the Webb.  I don't like to pay shipping is one reason. I some time's cam find better deals other places. is another. I went to Kmart which in vernal has the best boy selection on a budget. They had a vest that I thought would work just fine. Well tucker didn't agree.  He wanted the Blazer. The only problem is he has my problem short arms. It fits him every where just fine except in the length of the arm. I don't really want to spent the $  to get it altered to have him grow out of it in a few months, but he wouldn't budge that is what he wanted so we will dill with short arms. He wanted to show is dad, and for me to take a picture. He was major excited. Hence the 1,000  word report just to tell you how excited he was to have his blazer.

Family Christmas party!

This year my mother-in-law came up with the idea of doing the story of Christmas and nativity life size in the barn with the pony, goat, and the kids. She invited the her Mom and Dad, Davises, Johnson, Granny, Papo,  some neighbors, Grandma Connie, and Grandma Southam. We all helped putting it on and setting it up(well I guess I should say Randan, Sue, Randy, Jake, Tucker, Waylon, Josee, and my mother-in-law) . I probably wasn't as much help as others. We had chili and rolls with hot chocolate, and cookies. It went very well. It was so cute watching the kids play there parts. Tucker was a Wise man. He was going to be Joseph, but he wanted to be a Wise man with his dad.  I was afraid that it would be cold. I have never been a person that likes the cold. It wasn't that bad. They did a very good job of insulating and keeping it warm. Granted the temperature wasn't that cold. It could have been worse.

Baby Room!

When Randan and I found out we were expecting I told him weather or not its a girl or boy I want to bye a nice crib set. I made Tuckers, and it was a catastrophe. It was 6 to 7 inches to short on ether side, and when I washed it it came apart in a couple areas.  I wanted to find out what we were having a boy or girl so I knew what to look for and when we found out it was a girl I started looking at stores here in Vernal and stores in Provo I also looked in line. I didn't find any thing that I loved I look and shopped what seemed to me quite a bit. I finally resorted in making another bed set. I am going to say it is steel not exactly what I wanted but it will do. The bed skirt is made out of pink and cream tool with some of the fabric that I used in the quilt.  The quilt is steal a little to small, but no where near as bad as Tuckers. I am stupid and didn't wash any of the fabric before making it. I know better. I maybe a yellow blanket out of some of the left overs I think you can see it in one of the pictures. Its hanging over one of the brown chairs. I  used the same backing for it as I did for the bed quilt and when I washed it it balled up in the washing machine and inside the blanket so bad that if feel like balls in the blanket, so I am a bit scared to wash the quilt. The curtains I made, and stenciled a flower to match the ones in the pattern in the quilt. The yellow picture frame you see is what I put together to hold all of the baby's hair bows and berets. All in all I think it will work. Is it what I had in my head not really, but I am steal pleased.

Genral Confrence and Lego's

For Tucker's last birthday I bought him this Lego set thinking that it would be like the one he got for Christmas. I was wrong. The one he got for Christmas was more like  the Duplo which is bigger pieces. It was a construction set that had a back hoe, and  a couple of dump truck. He loves it plays with it allot. When I opened this one up I thought "That was smart Katherine!" It has tons of the smallest Lego pieces I think I have ever seen. He didn't know quite what to do with it. It's been stashed on his top shelf in the closet for 9 months and  on conference Randan, and I pulled it out so Tucker could be doing it while lessening to Conference. I think Rnadan had a funner time then Tucker. It is a fire station with the helicopter, and fire trucks to go with. We have all the trucks and station put together except one. I had to supper glue the helicopter together in a spot because my three year old would get so frustrated that it  keep coming apart. Mom also got frustrated with having to put it back together thirty times a day.

I just had too...

...put this in here. Tucker has started to sit like this when he eats. My favorite is the toes are even crossed. I quietly took this picture, and zoomed out for a full shot, but he caught me and change how he was sitting. You have never been able to pull the wool over his eyes.

Vacation!

Randan's idea of fishing!

Tucker's idea of fishing!

Randan was able to take a few days last week to do what he wanted. Of cores it was camping. I'm not complaining mind you. I love to camp I just say that because so dose he.we went up on Tuesday and came home on Friday. We camped at East park. They have a camp site  with fire rings, water, and out houses. Also level camp sites so it didn't take for ever to set up.We wanted to camp there for a few reasons but one was the fire ring. This year your only aloud to set a fire in designated  spots. Because of the water table being so low. It's not camping if you cant have a fire.  Right?
On Wednesday we went all  the way up to Hacking lake. It was dry dry dry all the way up in the streams and lakes. Hacking wasn't as full as it could have been ether. Thursday after dinner we walked down to the lake and decided to give it one more shot at the fishing (We hadn't caught a single thing the hole time we were up there). Just as we had decided to go Randan decided to canst it out a couple more times and lone behold he AKA Tucker caught a fish. we couldn't catch any more so we talked Tucker in to letting the one he caught go. He wasn't to excited to do that until he found out  he had to kill it to keep it. Then the idea seemed good. also earlier that day we went to Jones hole to at least let him see some fish the men there gave him two cups of fish food and told him to have at it. He loved it Two cups of food wasn't enough. Randan told Tucker to set his hand on top of the water. He did and as he did Randan dropped food around his hand. The fish jumped and swam right there by his had, so Tucker  could feel them. The first time Tucker's eyes got huge. Oh it was so fun to watch I wish so badly that my camera's batteries wouldn't have died. They died the first morning we were there. The trip was a total success for us we really enjoyed every minute.

Fun FHE for the DUP

First of all I want you to know it was hard to find a picture where everyone was looking or in it just right. Now that that is out of the way. My mother-in -law found an insert in the local paper advertising that if  you go  to all ten historical sites that the Utah Daughter Pioneers have around the Uintah Basin, and have your picture taken, and by a certain date, turn in all the pictures you can be entered into a drawing for a gift basket. It is the 50 anniversary of the Utah Daughters of Pioneers so that is the reason they are doing this drawing. We decided that would be fun for are FHE. After we got most of the sites we BBQ hot dogs at the park. It was fun to learn all the history.

It's A Girl!

We were able to go to  radiology and have our ultrasound done so we could see how the baby is developing, and what the sex is. "It's a Girl" I was so relived to find out that every thing was OK. I worry,  and seeing her picture (the best we could) made it more  real. I remember with Tucker it did the same thing. The next day I got all of Tuck's cloths and went though all 6 totes. to find what I could that would pass on a girl. I didn't get much. Tuck got a lot for his shower that was blue of coarse. My mom had some cloths that Christine had gone through with Aubree, so I got some way cute things there. I made two of these burp rags that have ribbon that stick out the side (I will have to take pictures) I got one for Tuck and it was the best it help keep entertained and wiped up messes. Always love things that serve with duel purpose's. The first one I made I had to unpick 3 times, but the next went much faster of coarse. I knew what I was doing. I am getting excited to think of all the girl thing we get to dress her up in. Vernal has always had a better selection of girl cloths then boy's. Tucker is also excited to get a baby sister. That is what he wanted from the beginning.

Potty Trainning!

I have been for the last year trying any thing and every thing I could think of to get Tucker to potty train. We have bribed with Dumb Dumb sucker (his favorite) we have put him in time out. We have let him wear underwear. I knew his body was ready. He would wake up with dry diapers. I knew he knew what he was doing. He would acted ashamed, and hide. He didn't want me to watch, and get really upset if I was around. A couple of weeks ago I decided to give the underwear  another shot, so I put him in a pair, and we did wonderful that hole day. He was even running a fever, so I thought this is good right? The next day we put underwear on again. Half way though the day I couldn't hear his chatter any more, and I got worried, so I went looking for him. I found him leaning on a couch we have in our office, legs apart with diaria running down his legs right on  my carpet. I will tell you I didn't handle that very well, actually I am quite ashamed at my actions. While I was freaking out a thought came to me ( don't know how the spirit could have got through or was even present with my ranting) "You need to get one of those potty that are on there own, that sit on the ground." I have to admit I have thought about one in  the past, but they gross me out. Once I thought about it for a while I thought : "They aren't that different from whipping a dirty dipper bum." I got one three days latter, and we haven't had a diaper on sense. I am very particular on keeping it clean. We have a spray bottle with  a Clorox solution we wipe it down with every us. That helps my peace of mind.  It has been ten days tomorrow. My mom bought  Tucker this Jake and the Never Land Pirates boat 3 months ago as a bribe. It has sat on a shelf  for that long. We made that chart you see  in one of the pictures to let him mark off the days. He needed to use the toilet for 10 days in a row to get the boat. Tomorrow night he gets the boat. He is very excited. Mom and Dad are ecstatic.

First from the garden!

Randan and I planted the biggest garden that we ever have this year. We wanted to take the produce, and can alot of things. I don't know why we try. This is the third year and more then half has died. I will say we always get summer swash. We should get some zucchini, a little bit of tomato's, potato's, and maybe onions. so I guess I shouldn't be so negative. We get more and more every year.
