Let it Snow

I couldn't get a very good picture.  I thought of dowsing it with some color, so you could see how small it is, but that is the first Snow Man of the year.  It's as big as our cats. Tucker wasn't to excited to build one, so he just hurried, and did this.  Reagan was the one who wanted it. When his heart isn't in it, not much of an attention span, that one.

This is our cool icicle we are growing this year.
Randan say's it looks like a Crane foot.

As you can very well see we have got a decent storm. My kids were excited to play i n the snow, so I let them go out on a early Friday when it was some what warm and play in the snow. Tucker has had this nasty cough that has gone thru everyone this year. It started middle of October and is maybe ending with him. Fingers crossed.
Any way that is why I tried for a early day.
It is very wet snow, so they didn't stay long before they were wanting to come in because they were cold.
It was so fun to watch them play together. I remember doing that with my siblings manly Christine. When we lived in Ashley we had what we'd  call, "The Honda Hills," just up the road, and when dad would being tire tubs home, we would go tubing as often as we could. There was a family that lived two houses away, they had lots of girls, of which Christine, and I were right in the middle of, and they would play with us also. A LOT! Just ask my mom it would drive her crazy.  Some fond memories there.

Split Mt. Ward Christmas Party

In the spring we got a new ward that shares the Jensen Chapel.  My family, and I are apart of this new ward.  With any thing new their has been some  people murmuring, but I have to say I think we very much needed it. I was and am very excited.  Randan, and I have talked a lot about it and we both agree that if you let it, you can see many blessings from this new adventure.
I might have mentioned all of this before, but this party reminded me that Heavenly Father is in control. He knows what he is doing, and we are blessed to be apart of this ward.
I am steel in the primary presidency, and the tradition is that we are in charge of the Christmas Party. We as a new presidency decided to delegate out some parts and I will say that help a lot. In years past we have done everything and it get crazy.
I was in charge of the decorations and I know we have had more grand party decorations but I think it turned out OK.
There was good food and a cute program. I think, in my opinion, it was a success.

Oh Christmas Tree 2015

I didn't want to put this one, because of my big bum but I had to because of Tucker's face.

I have taught my daughter a very bad thing.  I was just playing with her one day and stuck my tongue  out at her. As soon as I had done it I knew I had done a bad thing.

We decided that we would go fake this year I am glade it has been nice to have a year break from watering a dead tree, and I hate the sap.
It was very fun to watch them because they are both getting older. And enjoy it more.

Halloween 2015

Every time I look at this picture I break in to hysterical laughter. My favorite is Glenda the good witch.  This is my brother and sister-in-law and their three kids. So So cute.

Poor kids couldn't even fit in their car seats.

Tucker begged and begged  to be an angry bird, and Raegan wanted to bee the pig its all they would talk about for three months, and we all know that if I had gone to the store and bought all four of us costumes that it would have been close to two hundred dollars, so I found some homemade ideas on Pinterest, and made our own. I like them better then the store bought ones. I have always loved Halloeewn.  Its getting funner and funner every year.

Pumpkin Carving 2015

We have been sick with ether the stomach flu or a nasty cool  (Randan and Tucker had the stomach flu, Raegan and I had a cold, ear infections, and the worse cough I have ever had in my hole life.) It has been a four week and counting  nightmare. I say all that because my kids didn't get to carve pumpkins until Halloween night. We hurried and carved them two hours before trunk-or-treat.  I don't think that the eleventh hour bugged them they were just happy to get to do it.

I Love to see the Temple

If the Savior stood beside me...

I'll go inside some day.

The beginning of October my Mom and Tucker had a week end off of school for fall break.  I want to comment and say that I don't ever remember having a FALL BRAKE when I went to school but what ever.
We decided to take the time and go look for some furniture for mom. She didn't have a couch,  wanted a new lazy boy, and has been looking at accent chairs for about three years and hasn't found exactly what she wanted.
I am happy to say that we found all three I will have to get some pictures. That was one day of shopping.
The next day we went to Temple Square and walked around looking at the temple, Conference Center, Tabernacle, the Church History Art Museum(they have the new video of Joseph Smiths first vision, very cool),  and then had lunch at the Lion House.
We still had time so we went bowling ant Fat Cats, I didn't get any pictures because I was trying to keep kids in line.  My son has been wanting to go bowling for a few years now, and so we just made it happen.  We dont have a bowling ally any more in vernal. It has been made in to a detail shop. That night we had dinner at Red Lobster with Aunt Denna, Uncle Mark, Bethany and Breanna. It was so fun to catch up I hadn't see any of them for quite some time.
I was so glade we were able to catch up with family, help mom, and have some down time.
P.S. I know everyone is asking why is Raegan in only half the pictures well she was burnt out by the time we got to the other half. I tried to get her to let me take one by the temple doors but she was not having it.

Harvest Creation 2015

This year we got our harvest creation paper, so I asked Tucker what he wanted to, and showed him some ideas I had found on Pinterest.  He didn't like any of my ideas, and would not waver from doing a helicopter. He was very excited with what we came up with.  By the time it got to the school that next day it was pretty wilty, and had all but fallen apart by the time I picked him up.

Dilly Beans

This was our first attempt to can Dilly Beans.  I remember my Great Grandma Openshaw was always canning something all summer.  You would walk into her house and could smell it.  Her and Grandpas gardens were always gorgeous.  Thanks to my aunt and uncle I was able to try these this year.  I didn't have any beans and Randan said he wanted to try some.  I knew that my aunt and uncle had planted some, so I called, and they graciously provided.
I have been sick the last few days, so pour Randan set the first batch. They were getting old, and needed set.  I got up the next morning, and set the second( I wasn't going to make him do the hole thing).  We got 18 bottles. We have to let them set for a couple of weeks, so it will be interesting to see how they turn out.

First Day of First Grade

Well it's official I have a first grader  This is the first year that he gets to go all day, and have school lunch.  I was excited for him to get to try all this new stuff.   By the bottom picture I'm not sure he was as excited.   Manly wanting me to stop with the pictures.
