2011 Easter

For Easter this year we went to my mom's on Friday, and had a diner. The whole works. Ham, potato's, salad, and rolls. It was very good. I wish I would have taken my camera. My mom had the table set all up. She had a white table cloth, and just darker then baby blue plates. Easter Lillie's down the center, and  eggs and candy wrapped up in Easter egg sulifane. My Grandma Southam, Christine, Houston, Aubree, Randan, Tucker, and I were all there. Justin and Kayden were working cows so they were not able to come.

The next day Randan, Tucker, and I all went to Randans mother and Father. They had a BBQ that afternoon there was Sue, Jake, Waylon, Josee, Ma Dean, Pa Dean, Granny, Papo, Val and George York, and Don and Eleen Fedelick. A full house, or I guess I should say yard. We had a Easter egg hunt. as you can see in these pictures. The last picture Tucker fell in some mud and came walking around the corner with his hands out and saying "dirty."

On Easter Sunday we (Randan & I ) spoke in sacrament I was scared to death. Are topic of coarse was on Easter. I think we both passed. Well I hope. My Uncle Dave among other family members was there. I pick him out because he is in the stake presidency, and when sacrament was over he came up to us and said, " You both did so well, Stake conference is next week end, so maybe you two will have to help us out." We all laughed.

All in all are Easter week end was lot of fun. We spent it with family and friends. We learned more of the gospel, and  Last but definitely not least we got are talks over with.

Jazz!

Three nights ago Randan's family, and I all went out to the last jazz game. We got to ride the subway there. Tucker and Waylon thought that was SSSSOOOO COOL!  The game was way cool. They won by one or two shots. ( I'm not very good with sports) It was so fun to watch. I was totally hiped up.  When we left it was raining like cats and dogs. I only had a light jacket, and poor Sue,and Waylon didnt have anything . The wind was bloing a little wich as you can guess made it a little worse, but it was worth it to see the Jazz play and Win.

Shaving!

The other day Randan came home, took a shower,  and started to shave. Well as soon as Tucker saw this he wanted in on it. I didn't get a picture of it, but I gave him a spoon so he could have a razor just like his dad.

Jury Duty!

About  month ago I was summonsed to jury duty. I had a little anxiety not knowing what to expect. I had never been summonsed up till this point. I had to be there at 8:15 am. When I arrived there were people trickling in. We all had to walk thru a metal detector. I of course beeped, so they had me assume the position, and ran the wand over me. Once I got all checked in we sat in a Court room for what seemed like for ever. (It was only an hour) The judge came out at told us they would not need our services this day. He also told us that there was some new evidence that had come to light the night before, so they needed more time. The case was on a man that ether sexually assaulted or was sexually assaulted in jail. I couldn't quite get that part. The persona of jury duty has always been that it takes to much time , and nobody wants to do it. I think that I would have wanted to see how a case really plays out, and  not how the TV portrays them to be. I was a little disappointed that I wasn't going to get to see that.

30 years old and The Book of Mormon

I have a confession to make. I am 30 years old, and just got done reading the Book of Mormon for the first time all the way thru. I have started a few times, but this was the first time I made it all the way. In are ward we received this out line of what scriptures to read to make it thru in 100 days. I was a little late getting started, and a few times I fell behind, but I get my self caught up again, and off I would go. If I had any questions I would call Randan. He was always so good at answering them for me. I totally devoured it. I know it is sad that it took till I was 30 years old. Better late then never right.    If Tucker, and the rest of the children I hope to have some day, ever get to read this.  I want them to know that there mother has a testimony of the Book of Mormon, that it can change your life, and that what it teaches is true.

After and Before

I  know that  you generally say " Before and After," but I messed up on how I loaded the pictures, and I am to lazy to fix it. Not only that but I named the entree before this one "Before and After." Couldn't have two the same. How silly would that be.
I love to decorate, and am always changing it. My likes change, or I like so much that I want to change it all the time. In decor that is. The rest of the time I have a hard time with change.  Because of this I have a very hard time spending lots of money to decorate something that will be changed in a short time. I also love to make something out of nothing. It gives me a high to spend penny's on something, and make it look like I spent hundreds. Hence I love to shop at the DI or garage sales. Anywhere I can find a good deal.
These are some plates that I found at the DI. Some of them I found last summer, others I found a week or two ago. Yes also at the DI.  I finally felt like I had enough that I could do what I had envisioned and came up with how I wanted to finish them. (some times it takes a while to get the creative juices flowing) I was also worried on how I was going to make them look esthetically pleasing on the wall. You know kinda missed matched but make it look like it was suppose to be that way. Make it flow, so I did a trick I have read in magazines, and see on TV. I traced the plates on paper then hung the paper up. If I didn't like where it was just simply moved it, pounded a nail when I got it right, removed the paper, and hung the corresponding  plate to the corresponding paper. This is the finished  product.  I am happy with it. That is till the next idea comes around.

Befor and After

I know I know, who puts a picture of dirt, and a picture of wood on there blog. I think that it is my O.C.D. that just loves this. I love to see organization. Every thing has a place, and everything in it's place. I also wanted to show you this, because I remember as a child growing up we didn't have but, one new little tree that didn't give off any shade at all, at our house, so we got creative. We took all the wood that we had stacked the winter before,  stood them on there ends, and out lined our little wood house's. It keep us fairly entertained. My dad hated it. It ruined his nicely stacked wood pile. He never, that I can remember, said anything about it. I only know this because my mother told me later. I have inherited the O.C.D. from both sides.  I am doomed.  If you are a little confused as why the picture of the dirt that is where the pile was dropped off this last winter. It was just a big pile of wood right there in are front ward. Randan knew this was bugging me, because when I thanked him for helping me he said, "You are welcome. Now it isn't White Trashy any more."
